What is Program of 'Reward Your Green Effort' ?

This is a CrowdFunding Competition for a new business organising by mystartr, a leading crowdfunding platform in Malaysia.

Each participant like Karun Hijau is required to fundraise RM 8000 as Primary Stage to qualify for 21 Days Entrepreneur Intensive Training on Second Stage from 3/12/17 to 23/12/17 and finally Pitching Day on 13/1/18 & 14/1/18. There will be 10 winners and Top Winners with Cash Reward of RM30,000. All winners are entitle for a 6 Days 5 Nights Business Trip to Taiwan.

2) RM28000   As Fund for  50,000 copies of Carton Waste Segregation Handbook

3) RM12,000  As Set Up Expenses for Urban Carbon Store at Puchong area. 

4) RM24,000  As Expenses for Waste Segregation Instructor and City Ranger Training Program 

5) RM28,000  As City Ranger Apps Development Cost

Who is Karun Hijau Recycling and Urban Carbon Store? 

Karun Hijau is a Social Enterprenuer formed on 28/7/2016.

Our Mission is to Become a Dynamic Social Enterpreneur which provide an Effective and Efficient Ways of Management, Education and Technology to improve Recycling Value at Urban Area. 

Our Vision is to make everybody practise Green Lifestyle by livng a simple way that using less resource. We became a Branded Recycler in the Market. We make the industry more Trendy and more Value.

Therefore, our strategy is Reward when User involve in Green Effort.

Each time Users call for Recycling, they will Rewarded with Green Point (GP) which can use to redeem AEON Gift Voucher (Hopefully e-voucher soon...). With the Green Point (GP) system, User can view all the information regarding their recycling activities through Karun Hijau. This become important data to let users know how much resource they have used through the record in the GP system. 

Why Karun Hijau kickstart the program of 'Reward Your Green Effort'?

Social Problem：

1) Low Recycling Rate

Malaysia has achieved a Low Recycling Rate of 17.50% in 2016 and 15% at 2015. Compare to Singapore of 59%, Taiwan 60%, Germany 62% and Austria 68%, Malaysia has HUGE room to increase Recycling Rate. 

2) High Dependency and Reluctance of Waste Segregation

a) Charity Recycle Stations or Bins

People have tendency not to learn resource segragation or separation due to plenty of Recycle Station or Bins. Perhaps you are one of them. 

Recycle Stations or Bins just make people too convenient to DUMP everything without carry out own responsibity to segregate or separate. They highly RELY on volunteers to do the separation or segregation work. This cultivate BAD HABITS not to learn segregation work.

b) Punishment Policy Never Work

Due to Act 672, Government can punish those households that not performing the waste segregation. Therefore people simply dump at roadside so that nobody will get punish.

Besides, some people felt dismotivated when saw the segregated resources at the end mix into one big trucks after so much of effort segregate it at home! They felt dissapointed.

c) Lack of Practical Waste Segregation manual or handbook   

When understand the Market Supply Chain needs, resources can segregate accordingly to the RIGHT needs and it really help reducing the wastage of human resources and unnecessary waste of others. Without Practical Manual or Handbook, we will continued with poor recycling rate.

3) High Wastage Due to Lack of Discipline

Malaysian live too comfortable. People can simply get everything want, But Not the NEEDS....

Without careful, people simply forgot to REFUSE and end up with high wastage unconsciously..... People lack of discipline for self controlled

4) Lack of Branded and Reliable Recycler

Who will come across your mind when you need a recycler to clear off all your recycleable household stuffs at home?

For Example,

Who will you call to collect E waste, glass bottle, bulbs, dry battery, torn and low quality clothes, heavy mattress, damaged furniture, broken electrical items and many others?

For Registered Members, each time request for Pick Up Services is required to follow 5 Easy Steps of SOP. Without photos provided, no action will be taken.

The most important part is photos for all goods required to pick up. From the photos we can estimate the Quantity and The Quality of goods.

Quantity Estimation allow us to fit the most cost effective vehicles.

Quality Estimation will let us know quality of waste segregation carry out by Members.

We have Simple, Easy, Effective and Duplicated (SEED) ways of Waste Segregation. It just need members to spare some times and effort to do it GREEN.

IMPACT OF RECYCLING INDUSTRY

There are 2 Important Factors that Giving Most Impact to Recycling Industry

1).UNNECESSARY WASTE AND COST  

  There are 3 killing parts in the industry.

1. Warehouse Cost
2. Transportation Cost
3. Labour or Human Resources Cost

Our strategy is applying Co-Warehouse Sharing with Right Partners. The Rental will be shared and reduce rental cost.

We always work closely with quality Movers and to align them by understanding our Mission and Vision. Therefore we can achieve another Co-Transportation System  and help each other  to reduce unnecessary waste and cost in each recycling job.  

Besides, we build high trust with Quality and Transparent Supply Chains or Factories in bigger capacity to support us in certain bigger scale of job. During bigger scale of recycling job, we work much more closer including sharing on transportation and Human Resources or Labours as well.

With our SEED ways of waste segregation , we can demand better Value of Sales (VOS) with High Trust working partners. We avoid ANY DOUBLE HANDLING works in our job or event. By doing so, we reduce waste of Human Resources in our business model.

2) UNCERTAIN VALUE OF SALES FOR THE GOODS

Fluctuate according to the market change. China restricted a lot of recycle goods to be imported, price drop tremendously, Unless we managed to turn the recycling goods into raw materials form which are more demanded by China.

Due to this circumstances, we are forced to work with raw material manufacturers to maintain higher VOS.
